Magical Mind Behind the Stories

Charlene Peterson was born and raised in sunny San Diego and now lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is the author of the children’s book called The Misadventures of Cowhead: Cowhead’s Big Move and A Day at the Park: Big Girls Can do Anything. She is currently working on publishing more books related to Cowhead and her adventures as well as adding a few new children’s stories not associated with Cowhead, but all still full of adventures and fun. She is currently working on a series of Cowhead books. All the Cowhead books including this one has a learning theme. Her younger daughter, Alice’s mischievous antics and playfulness motivated her to write the series when she was much younger.

Charlene envisions retail merchandise such as a coloring book, plush dolls of Cowhead as well as all her friends, birthday party theme packages with hats, plates, cups and napkins, rain boots and umbrellas, this is just to name a few. Charlene is also a member of the Fredericksburg Writing Club. Charlene was a single mother at an early age, and she realized that to succeed at anything she must have drive, determination, and dedication. Her tenacity and support from family and friends encouraged her as well as gave her the confidence to take her thoughts and put pen to paper so everyone can enjoy Cowhead’s antics and fun. She graduated high school early and went straight to college. She worked full time with 3 children and earned her master’s degree. She is now completing her PhD in Organizational Development with an Emphasis in Leadership and Communication. She enjoys mentoring and motivating at risk youths and continues to support events that support and encourage children to continue education and that stimulate them mentally. Charlene sees her books as the go to book in homes across America.

Charlene Peterson is a group member of Children’s Authors, Kindle Amazon Book Club, Children’s Book Writers, and Illustrators as well as Got Story. She is contemplating joining the Writers Guild of America, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, National Writers Union and Writers Center.
